About Dr. Vokshoor
Dr. Amir Vokshoor, with Neurovella Brain Spa in Los Angeles, California, is a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in the minimally invasive surgical treatment of adult cranial and spinal disorders. Following his interest in helping people optimize their brain health and neurological wellness, he founded the Neurovella Brain Spa to provide innovative therapies to alleviate symptoms caused by pain, stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and other neurological conditions.
The Neurovella Brain Spa offers therapies such as virtual reality-guided meditation, immersive meditation chair, eVox brain mapping, neurofeedback, and IV nutritional infusions.
Dr. Vokshoor earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his neurosurgery internship and residency training at The Ohio State University Hospitals and obtained additional complex training at the University of South Florida through a spine fellowship.
In 2002, he was named Chief of Neurosurgery at the Kaiser Medical Center, where he began his practice. He was also the Assistant Chief of Neurosurgery at the Los Angeles Medical Center, where he gained additional experience prior to joining the innovative DISC spine and sports center.
Dr. Vokshoor is a diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He’s also a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and the California Association of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Vokshoor champions a comprehensive approach to neurological well-being. He is the founder of the Institute of Neuro Innovation, a non-profit organization uniting clinical research, technology, and neuroscience education to improve lives by optimizing brain health and energy expenditure during recovery from injuries. By understanding the role of brain health on overall wellness, the organization seeks to serve people with cognitive decline or individuals seeking to optimize their brain health and neurological wellness.
